Adobe Connect Community

Hello. I’m John Spotts. Some of you may remember me from The Royer Center for Learning and Academic Technologies, Commonwealth College, now the Office of the Vice President of the Commonwealth Colleges. While at the Royer Center, I filled many roles: Instructional Designer; Multimedia Producer; Systems Administrator, Centra webmaster, support, and trainer for the Saba Centra Collaboration Software. I was also called upon to provide Commonwealth College training for Faculty, Staff, and sometimes Students. As the University transitioned to a new organization with the Campuses, I was assigned to ETS to assist them in many ways. With that said, one of my main focuses has been with the implementation of Breeze (now Adobe Connect). In working with the Connect team, I have been able to bring my experiences and knowledge learned from years of working with faculty and staff in implementing the art of using collaboration software as part of the daily learning activities and work for teaching, learning, training, and communication and sharing. The ability to reach across distances in a dynamic and purposeful way has been a passion of mine as many of the campuses have often been challenged by distances and the need to travel. The University’s adoption of Adobe Connect has made significant strides in breaking down those barriers and I am proud to be a part of the team that will continue to assist in making it an even bigger success in the future.
