I think the setting you are referring to is the during the meeting setup process. We do not have a telephony bridge for Adobe Connect at this time. You will want to leave it unchecked. As far as recording from the speaker phone and using a microphone the quality is not great. Depending on the room you may be in, it has a hollow sound and sometimes is very low. There is a solution we recommend and that is the PCTI 3-Way: Personal Computer Telephone Interface http://www.andreaelectronics.com/Buy/ProductDesc/PCTI3-way.htm . It allows three-way switching between headset, PC, and phone or both. I also recommend the USB adapter http://www.andreaelectronics.com/Buy/ProductDesc/USB_Adapter.htm as a compliment to the PCTI-3. The host uses this arrangement to capture the phone audio and input the signal directly into the computer. These units work with both Windows and Macs.
