Modular Content and Learning Objects

Lately I have been thinking about the best way to streamline development of instructional content for Adobe Connect. I have always found instructional content for Adobe Connect a bit difficult to develop because everything in Adobe Connect is inter-related -- there doesn't seem to be a direct line from where you are to where you want to go -- for example, you use the Camera and Voice pod by way of the meeting menu and the Attendee List -- go figure! So, if I want to teach students how to use the camera and voice pod, I first have to teach them about the Meeting Menu and Roles.

This made me realize that all or most of the content in Adobe Connect can probably be chunked and chopped into small, reusable pieces -- learning objects. Learning objects could be assembled in various combinations to create modules, and modules could be assembled in various configurations to create lessons. By starting with reusable learning objects, I will be streamlining the development process and reducing the time it takes me to create usable lessons for a wide variety of audiences.

To that end, I have posted 4 sample learning objects and 1 sample module.

The learning objects were created using Adobe Captivate 3 which is somewhat integrated with Adobe Connect. For the module I used the video I created with Captivate and embedded it in a PowerPoint presentation which I then published using Adobe Connect Presenter. I would be happy to share additional details with anyone who is interested.

I am wondering if anyone else is interested in starting a discussion about learning objects for Adobe Connect, and, perhaps, sharing some modules and lessons you have created? What are the basic reusable learning objects that need to be created? What is the most versatile delivery method? File format? Thoughts? Comments?
