Yesterday I attended an Adobe sponsored online seminar about using both Adobe Connect Presenter and the Adobe Connect Training Module. Although Penn State is only just starting to investigate how the Adobe Connect Training Module might be implemented (so it isn't available to the general community population yet), Penn State community members do have access to Adobe Connect Presenter. Departments may purchase Presenter from the Computer Store for $75.00. Later this summer the upgrade (to V.7) will be available for an additional $5.00. If you aren't affiliated with a Penn State department or unit, you will be able to purchase Adobe Acrobat V.9 (July 11 is the release date I think) which will also contain the Adobe Connect Presenter PowerPoint plugin.
During the seminar the presenter demonstrated several features of Presenter V.7. The most prominent of the new features is the ability to capture video directly into a PowerPoint presentation.
