A question about editing a recording in V.7 was submitted by phone. Here's the question and the answer we received from Adobe:
A user could not edit a recording of a meeting even though he could view the recording. When he tried to edit the recording Connect responded with "This resource does not exist." Also, in the meeting recording properties, the size of the recording was 0 K.
Adobe's response is that this is a known issue. The work around is to download the recording using the URL of the recording and appending the following: "/output/foobar.zip?download=zip." So the resultant URL would look like:
http://my.connectserver.com/p2345689/output/foobar.zip?download=zip
For Penn State users the first part of the URL would be http://breeze.psu.edu. The "p" number is what Connect assigns as the unique URL for that specific recording. (For directions on finding your recordings and URLs see http://meeting.psu.edu/recording)
The foobar.zip can be any file name you choose. When you do this you will be asked to save the recording as a zip file on your local computer. Save it to you desktop. Once it is downloaded, you should be able to login to your Connect session and upload this zip file as new Content. Once uploaded it will be available to be Edited.
Note: At Penn State, only users with Meeting Creator licenses have a Content folder and are able to create new content. If you are a Host in the meeting room but didn't create the meeting room you will need to have the person who did create the room upload the file to the Content folder.
