My QuickCam 5000 just died. I primarily use it for Adobe Connect sessions. Any recommendations for a replacement? We've had some issues in the past with the Logitech software in Windows XP. Any experiences (good or bad) with the MS LifeCams available at the Computer Store. Other models/brands to investigate.
Thanks for your help.

RE: Quickcam vs LifeCam
Tom,
I use a MS LifeCam with my home computer and Windows XP and have experienced no problems.

We recently purchased 3 Logitech 9000 webcams and they work fine for conferencing, demos, etc. For our real presentations, however, we had an old Sony Betacam (probably 8 yrs old), hooked it up with a firewire connection, and it works much better than the webcams--much clearer and crisper picture. It also gives greater flexibility for zooming, moving about, etc. We liked it so much that we just bought a used one on Ebay so we would have a backup and one to use when we needed to have two presenters being shown at the same time.
