In large group meetings and classes it can be difficult to “jump into an active discussion.” Here are some tips and best practices to make participating easier and more satisfying for participants.
Let Attendees know at the start of the meeting or class how requests to broadcast audio will be handled. Remind Attendees to mute their mics when they aren't broadcasting audio.
Have Attendees raise their hands and wait to be called on to broadcast audio.
Attendees can alternately use the Chat pod to indicate that they have a comment or question and then wait to be called on.
If the success of the meeting or class requires free-flowing discussion, consider using a phone bridge instead of VoIP so several people can talk at once if necessary.
Facilitating large group discussions through Adobe Connect takes some practice on the part of the Host. Having a meeting moderator to keep track of who has requested to speak will help with the flow of the discussion.
