Microphone not recognized by Acobe Connect

Does anyone have any suggestions. I'm out of ideas:

I've been troubleshooting with a customer for the past hour to try to get his microphone working. Here's what I've tried
1. I had him try 2 different headsets: One was the 2-pronged mic and one was USB -- neither worked.
2. Had him go to Meeting Menu ... Manage My Settings .... Select Camera. His microphone was selected
3. Check to make sure his Control Panel .... Sounds & Audio Devices was set up correctly -- it was with both mics
4. Had him go to the flash player settings and allow his mic to access breeze.psu.edu (http://it.cas.psu.edu/782.htm)
5. Had him try the connection test and found out that he doesn't have the Connect add-in and he's not able to install it. SO, that may be the problem. He works in a government office and has firewalls. Having him try to install the Connect add-in from home to see if that makes a difference.

If anyone has anything else to try, let me know --peg shuffstall, College of Ag Sciences

Sharing Add-in Also Affects Audio

I think you are on the right track with suspecting the add-in as being the problem. We know from Adobe documentation as well as from past experience that the add-in is somehow tied to audio, not just to using the features of the Share pod. Please let us know how this all works out.

Sharing Add-in Also Affects Audio

I had user log in from home and use his microphone. He was able to do that BUT when he got back to the office, he wasn't so I'm almost 100% sure that the network or a firewall won't allow the add-in. Does anyone know how to add an exception to a firewall to allow the add-in to install on computers?
