Powerpoint automatically advancing

I have a powerpoint presentation that does not have any timing attached to the slides. It is set to advance the slides on the click of the mouse or using the spacebar. However, when I upload it into my Adobe Connect meeting space for some reason, it gives it a 5 second time for each slide transition. Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? On my computer desktop, I can go through the powerpoint presentation by using my space bar or my mouse and the slides do not advance automatically. I've tried to make sure every setting in the presentation does not attach a time limit to the slides, but when I go to use it in Adobe Connect, it automatically changes the slides every 5 seconds. Is there a solution to this?

RE: Powerpoint automatically advancing

Hello,
You can set the uploaded PowerPoint to advance automatically or by simply using the arrow keys or clicking on the arrows buttons at the bottom of the share pod with the PowerPoint. The trick is to have the mode set properly.

The mode you want to use for using arrows to control the slide advancement is the "Synchronized navigation" setting. The setting option can be found by clicking on the share pod's "pod Option" button in the lower right hand corner of the share pod that you loaded the PowerPoint into. It looks like a little sunflower. To select the "Synchronized navigation" option click just of the left of the "Synchronized navigation" wording. A check mark will appear next to the active selection.

Note: By default when a PowerPoint is loaded into Adobe Connect, it is converted to swf file. Contained in the file is a default timer set at 5 seconds per slide. Also there may 2 different control bars for slides. The outer one controls the pod and slide advancement as they are called by pressing an arrow key or clicking on the arrows. By selecting the "Show Presentation" bar in the pod options area, a second inner playbar play bar will appear with its own arrow. If you click this singe arrow once , the slide show will automatically begin play the file with the default 5 second delay or a delay you may have set in PowerPoint. Always remember that if want to control the slide advance using the keyboard of mouse clicks, use the outermost control bar.
