After viewing Full Screen, then lose the ability to go back to Normal view

We ran into an issue yesterday where some staff were viewing a live AC (Adobe Connect) session in full screen mode but when the presenter finished up, they could not toggle back from full screen to see the chat pod/attendee list.
I don't believe this happened for the staff that were NOT viewing in full screen mode since we received questions via the chat from some staff.

The presenter himself actually lost his powerpoint (loaded to content in share pod) around the same time.
About 10 minutes later another presenter shared out his powerpoint and all is fine.

Has anybody else seen this? or just a strange technology fluke? (don't you just love them).

In the recording you can actually see the "gray screen" until the other presenter shared out his powerpoint.

thanks for any clues.

Full Screen Options

Hi Jackie,

The source of the problem is the full screen options available to Presenters and Hosts. These are located in the dropdown menu at the bottom of the Share Pod and have to be set for each PPT that is uploaded. If there are several different presenters and only one Presenter/Host sets the option so that Participants can go to full screen (and the others don't), it creates problems for Participants who do go to full screen view. If the Participants don't switch back to normal view before the next presenter shares their presentation, the Participant gets "stuck" in full screen view. If the new Presenter/Host doesn't think to change the settings to give Participants control of full screen view, the only solution is for the Participant to quit the meeting room and come back in. When in full screen view the Participant has no access to Chat to bring the problem to the attention of the presenter.

RE: After viewing Full Screen

Jacki,
Would would you please send a link to the recording to breeze@psu.edu.

You didn't mention the connection that the first presenter may have had although I doubt that would have an effect on the users using the full screen button. What may have happened is (and I emphasize MAY) that the Presenter (or participants)could have possible done on of the following:

1. Abruptly stopped sharing the screen or switched layouts before they went back to the normal view.
2. Presenter switched from permitting Full screen toggle. (Changing options next to the Full Screen button in the share pod.)
3. If the participants were granted) presenter rights some one else may have changed the setting.
4. An interruption in the Internet may have created an artifact.
5. Participants failed to click on the Full Screen button the second time to resume the normal view.

We have not had any other reports of this occurring.
Keep us informed if this should occur again.
John
